The official Xbox 360 Wireless Headset was a beloved accessory of the previous generation, as Microsoft’s in-house solution for console voice chat. This lightweight single-ear headset allowed gamers to chat with friends, without the burden of full-sized headphones.
Third-party accessories manufacturer, Hyperkin, appears to be further investing in throwback Xbox One products, after its revival of the original Xbox Duke controller. Teased by Hyperkin’s Chris Gallizzi on Twitter, the firm looks to be developing a new Xbox One version of the wireless headset.
The image shows a similar design to the original device, with the same power and volume button placement. An indentation on the device’s side likely indicates its charging port falls in the same location, while new Hyperkin branding is embossed on the faceplate. Although a different ear loop design appears to be used, the revised headset mostly remains true to the original.
Details on the accessory, its availability and pricing are currently unknown, though expect to hear more next week at E3 2018. Are you hoping to pick up this new wireless headset? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
