Hitman 2 unveiled by Warner Bros. with November release date

A few days ago, Warner Bros. accidentally leaked Hitman 2. Today, the company officially revealed the game and provided new details about Agent 47’s new adventure. The game features new hyper-detailed sandboxes full of living, breathing environments to explore. Just like the first game, Hitman 2 offers players the freedom to plan the ultimate assassinations, utilizing an assortment of tools, weapons, disguises, and a variety of stealth techniques to creatively trigger their own unique chain of events.

Hitman 2 launches on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 on November 13, 2018. The game features Xbox One X enhancements which include “4K Ultra HD” resolution and “HDR10” support. The game takes players on a global adventure across a mix of bustling international locations, including a glowing Miami setting to dark and dangerous rainforests.

In Hitman 2, Agent 47 embarks on a mission to hunt the elusive “Shadow Client” and unravel his militia once and for all. However, when he learns the hidden truth about his past, nothing will ever be the same.

Hitman 2 also introduces new ways to play with the Sniper Assassin mode, a standalone feature that brings a co-op experience to the Hitman series. Sniper Assassin is available to play now as an early access bonus for consumers who preorder the Standard, Gold, or Collector’s Edition. Those who preorder the Gold or Collector’s Edition can play the game four days before release.

David Haddad, the President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, issued the following statement alongside Hitman 2’s reveal.

We are thrilled to partner with IO Interactive on Hitman 2 and bring the latest game in this iconic franchise to the passionate Hitman fan base and new players. IO Interactive has done a fantastic job with the Hitman franchise, and this new game will provide a distinct gameplay experience for players to be creative in larger sandbox locations.

Hopefully Hitman 2 will be a polished experience when it launches on Xbox One towards the end of the year. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear more about the game.
