Following Electronic Arts’ E3 2018 press conference at EA Play, we finally concrete details on upcoming shared-world action role-playing game (RPG), Anthem. Building on game’s initial reveal, this year’s show expanded on its gameplay and extensive mechanics.
A major component of Anthem is its progression, with performance-enhancing upgrades granted as you advance. Cosmetic unlocks will also allow players to tweak shape and color of their “Javelin” power suits. And to support the game’s future, Electronic Arts plans to sell cosmetic items through microtransactions.
Speaking on Twitter, executive producer on Anthem, Mark Durrah, elaborated on monetization – pitching a promising future for the game. Darrah claims all Anthem personalization items will be earnable in-game, making premium purchases truly optional.
