Next week we have one new “AAA” release on Xbox One, but there are still a few surprises here and there. Notably, Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered is finally launching on the console, and Defiance 2050 transports you to a world filled with alien-slaying goodness. With that in mind, here are all the biggest games launching next week, between July 2 and July 6, 2018.
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is the first action role-playing game set in the grim future. According to the developer, it takes the genre to its next level. The title is an open-world sandbox game in a persistent universe with a huge variety of missions, brutal combat in destructible environments, and a storyline influenced by the community. Keep in mind that this game has been delayed numerous times and might not launch next week because we haven’t heard much about the console versions.
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr should launch on July 5, priced at $59.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements and should contain 4K and 60 FPS options.
Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered
Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered is set fifty years after the climactic events of the original Red Faction. This new game allows players to take on the role of an insurgent fighter with the reestablished “Red Faction” movement as they battle for liberation from the oppressive “Earth Defense Force”. According to the developer, Red Faction: Guerrilla still defines the limits of destruction-based gameplay with a huge open world, fast-paced combat, and extensive physics-based destruction.
Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered should launch on July 3, priced at $29.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements and runs at 1800p 60 FPS on the console. The PlayStation 4 Pro version achieves 1500p.
Defiance 2050 is based on the popular Syfy show. You can join your friends and become an “Ark Hunter” in a massive co-op online shooter. Just like other such titles, players can choose from an array of fully-customizable weapons and classes, explore a unique futuristic open world, and engage in fast-paced third-person combat. The title will be free-to-play in a few days but you can currently get early access if you purchase a “Founder’s Pack”.
Defiance 2050 should launch on July 6, starting at $19.99.
Other experiences like The Journey Down: Chapter Three and What the Box? should also release next week.
These are the biggest games launching soon, and many of them seem like absolutely thrilling experiences. Be sure to check out Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered and Defiance 2050 because they appear to be the most unique games out of the lot. Which titles are you interested in? Let us know.
