Ubisoft has delivered a first look at the next multiplayer map on its way to its tactical first-person shooter, Rainbow Six Siege. Following the announcement of Operation Para Bellum, a new trailer has provided a one-minute overview of the upcoming “Villa” map, which ties into the expansion’s Italian setting.
Villa is pitched as one of Rainbow Six Siege’s most competitive maps to date, embracing the game’s renowned close quarters gameplay and destructive environments. The map appears to stow some varied locations too, including a stylish living space, dark cellars, and vibrant courtyard.
Here’s a brief overview of Villa, as provided by Ubisoft.
The villa was specifically designed to offer a competitive showdown. It sets the stage for diverse gameplay, providing wide staircases, narrow tunnels, and secret hatches. Don’t let the lush décor fool you, the villa is deadly: some of its floors are destructible and can fully expose you.
The land belongs to the Vinciguerra, a dangerous crime family known for their smuggling activities. The house is their retreat, where they lead a lavish lifestyle and collect rare art pieces. Now we catch the villa in a snapshot of time: Vinciguerras are burning documents and transporting their holdings before the big raid. But they’ve got wind of Operation Para Bellum and fled, leaving everything in disarray with vital information ready for the taking.
As seen with previous Rainbow Six Siege seasons, Villa will be available to all players upon the update’s arrival. This will be provided via a mandatory download distributed for free on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Ubisoft is on track to fully unveil Operation Para Bellum at the Pro League Finals between May 19 to May 20. The expansion is estimated to release on June 5 or June 6, based on recent announcements.
