Boxing sim ‘Fight Night Champion’ joins Xbox backward compatibility

Today, Larry Hryb, Director of Programming for Xbox Live, announced that Xbox 360 game Fight Night Champion is now backward compatible. The game isn’t the heavy-hitter fans were hoping for, but it’s still a lot of fun. Fight Night Champion is a multiplayer boxing game which came out on Xbox 360 in 2011.

According to EA, the title takes the boxing experience one step forward by delivering exhilarating story-driven matches. The game uses a new Fight Night Round 4 engine which improves physics and other aspects of gameplay. The boxing focuses on brutality, uncertainty, betrayal and redemption.

Be sure to check out the game on Xbox One if you’re looking for a break between new experiences like State of Decay 2. Even to this day, Fight Night Champion remains quite enjoyable.

Fight Night Champion is currently available at various retailers for roughly $20.
