Sprint promo offers free unlimited data with Qualcomm Snapdragon PCs

U.S. carriers are on board with supporting Always Connected PCs, but Sprint is looking to step things up a notch when it comes to data. The carrier is running a promotion through which you can get free unlimited data with a trio of Windows 10 on ARM PCs (via Engadget).

That said, there are some caveats.

Currently, the promotion applies to three Qualcomm Snapdragon 835-powered PCs on the market or coming soon: the HP Envy x2, the ASUS NovaGo (coming soon), and the Lenovo Miix 630 (coming soon). It’s also not clear if Sprint will be selling the devices itself, but the promotion is listed as BYOD (bring your own device), so you’ll have to pick one up elsewhere.

While data will be free at first, the deal is set to end on December 31, 2018. After that, data will cost $15 per month or $10 per month with autopay. However, Sprint says you can cancel at any time. Of course, the dreaded “taxes, fees and surcharges” and “speed maximums” apply.

Still, if you own or are planning to pick up any of these Snapdragon PCs, this is likely worth giving a look. There’s been no official announcement of this promotion from Microsoft or Qualcomm, but it’s possible we could see similar deals from other carriers as well. For now, you can check out the promotion at Sprint if you’re in the market for one of the three compatible PCs.

One thing’s for sure: it’ll be interesting to see if a certain pending mega-merger will have any impact on this promo.
