An Overwatch anniversary event is going on between May 22 and June 11, 2018. Blizzard Entertainment is adding a free-for-all deathmatch map — Petra — and more than 190 anniversary items including eight legendary skins. However, what if you missed an item from a previous event? Throughout “Overwatch Anniversary”, you’ll be able to unlock items from past seasonal events with credits and loot boxes.
It’s great to see that Blizzard is continuously supporting Overwatch even after all these years. The developer has set an example for the industry as a whole because even games like Diablo III keep on getting new content. This proves that titles that came out years ago can retain a healthy player base with the right amount of post-launch content.
Overwatch is a first-person shooter which features various heroes battling various villains. Each character is unique and has their own set of abilities and skills. Despite the diverse cast of fighters, the game is surprisingly balanced at a casual level, and you never feel like you’re at a disadvantage if you choose one over the other.
If you haven’t played Overwatch, be sure to check it out at your favorite retailer. You can purchase the physical version for roughly $30 at various stores. The best part is that it’s Xbox One X enhanced and dynamically upgrades the resolution to 4K 60 FPS.
