Next week we have no new “AAA” releases on Xbox One, but there are still a few surprises here and there. Notably, Agony is finally launching on the console, and Moonlighter transports you to a world filled with deadly dungeons. With that in mind, here are all of the biggest games launching next week, between May 28 and June 1, 2018.
Agony throws players into Hell where they strive to survive and solve the riddle behind the mysterious “Red Goddess”. The Red Goddess is the architect of this Hell, and the sole entity with knowledge of how to escape.
Agony should launch on May 29, priced at $39.99.
Moonlighter is a role-playing game with “rogue-lite” elements. It follows Will, an adventurous shopkeeper who secretly dreams of becoming a hero. During an archaeological excavation, a set of “Gates” were discovered in Rynoka, a small commercial village. People quickly realized that these ancient passages lead to different realms and dimensions.
Moonlighter should launch on May 29, priced at $19.99.
Sega Genesis Classics
The Sega Genesis Classics compilation comes with over fifty games ranging from platformers, beat ’em ups, shoot ’em ups, and more. Note that the physical edition comes with a double-sided Golden Axe and Streets of Rage poster.
Sega Genesis Classics should launch on May 29, priced at $29.99. Those who preorder can purchase it for $26.99.
Yoku’s Island Express
Yoku’s Island Express is an open-world pinball adventure which gives you multiple ways to play. The game offers non-linear gameplay that gives you the freedom to choose your own path across various story lines. This is definitely a unique take on the pinball genre and one that looks absolutely gorgeous with its hand-painted visuals.
Yoku’s Island Express should launch on May 29, priced at $19.99. Those who preorder can purchase it for $17.99. Only the digital version launches next week.
Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection
Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection is meant to celebrate the franchise’s legacy by offering some of the most iconic games in the series on modern devices.
Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection should launch on May 29, priced at $39.99.
Earth Atlantis launched on Nintendo Switch a few months ago and has since then garnered acclaim for its unique visual style. You take control of a pencil-drawn submarine and must navigate treacherous “waters” to escape.
Earth Atlantis should launch on June 1, priced at $14.99. Those who preorder can purchase it for $11.99.
Mining Rail is a roller coaster game. Get into your mine cart and drive at high speed along the railway track, getting through the mine to the exit and down to the valley!
Mining Rail should launch on June 1, priced at $12.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements.
Other experiences like Birdcakes, Die for Valhalla!, The Journey Down: Chapter One, Knights of Pen and Paper +1: Deluxier Edition, Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition, Milanoir, Oh…Sir! The Hollywood Roast, Rento Fortune: Monolit Tycoon, Shift Quantum, Spintires: MudRunner – The Ridge, STAY, and ZAMB! Redux should also release next week.
