Another trio of games is headed to the Xbox backward compatible list, and if you like the Saints Row series, you’re in for a treat. As announced by Xbox’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, Xbox 360 Saints Row, Saints Row: Gat out of Hell, and Toybox Turbos are now available to play on Xbox One via backward compatibility.
Saints Row and Saints Row: Gat out of Hell
The original Saints Row was one of the first open-world games to land on the Xbox 360, and it’s what kicked off the whole over-the-top series. In it, you’re inducted as one of the members of the Third Street Saints gang in a fight for control over the city. You take on three other gangs in a narrative that quickly escalates.
Saints Row: Gat out of Hell was released much later, and it raises the ridiculous factor. Full of spaceships, demons, and a confrontation with Satan himself, Gat out of Hell pits the Third Street Saints against hell itself.
Lightening things up a bit is Toybox Turbos, which is a simple, tabletop racing game for Xbox 360. The game boasts 35 vehicles and 18 tracks, and plenty of items and weapons that can help you gain the advantage over your rivals. There’s a single-player portion with six modes available, along with 4-player multiplayer that can be played locally or online.
If you already own any of the three titles, you should be able to start playing them on your Xbox One right away. Otherwise, all are available digitally from Microsoft. And for more, check out our comprehensive list of backward compatible Xbox games.
