Rumors of an Ancient Greece setting have been flying around for months, and it also seems like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey might launch in 2018. It’s unclear how the game fits into the overarching plot because the Assassin’s Brotherhood may not have been around back then. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will allegedly feature dialogue options and the ability to customize your protagonist’s gender.
As with any such leak, take it with a grain of salt until we receive official confirmation. We’ve reached out to Ubisoft for comment and shall update you as soon as we get a response. However, given how close this leak took place to E3 2018, the company will probably wait for the formal reveal at either Microsoft or Sony’s press event. At this time, it’s unclear which manufacturer has marketing rights to the game.
Hopefully — if Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is indeed in development — it’ll be a polished experience on Xbox One. It’s probably safe to assume that it’ll feature Xbox One X support and achieve 4K resolution on the console just like last year’s entry. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know more about the alleged game.
